Sol 237 thumbnails from Endurance Crater's interior

Color is from L4, L5, and L6 (left camera) or R1/R2 (right camera) using my proprietary process.  Click the filters below the images to get to the original images on the NASA/JPL website.

This is one of the most important image pairs to emerge from the mission so far.  They prove that the spherules are not concretions and that Mars is wet.

The image shows dry sand- compare that to other images showing sand that sticks together (high cohesion) and is darker.  Water is the reason.

Close up view of fossil spherules eroding out of rock, and patch of dry sand.  Color from L4, L5, and L6.

Right eye image in false color of same scene.  Color from R1 and R2.
