Description:  sea urchin

Apparent size: 2.5 mm

Common features:  easily seen rows of bumps that correspond to the attachment points of sea urchin spines, also shows a central opening at the crown.

Summary description of image contents:  This is very clearly a common type of sea urchin.  All the bumps are in lines and rows, it appears to be of 3-fold or 6-fold symmetry.  Terrestrial urchins are of 5-fold symmetry.
