NASA's Unpublished Sol 120 Pans
Many images from Sol 120, Opportunity panoramics that have not been listed
After reviewing many of the raw image feeds, I have found that for some reason, NASA has not yet published the images from Sol 120 panoramics from Endurance Crater. Here I have listed each with thumbnails and I have also decoded the time codes and put notes in place for each image in a format close to what NASA/JPL was originally posting (without the intermediate image pages).
Perhaps these were not published because they show the ice in the bottom of Endurance Crater in fantastic detail. The shiny nature of the ice cannot be ignored; it clearly reflects the sky (a light blue) on its rippled surface. To the best of my knowledge, I have the only complete set of these images as well as approximate color images assembled from the data.
All times are calculated from a local midnight reference of 138,791,825 seconds (start of Sol 120). I derived this time by calculating midnight from Sol 119 and its published times. Based on orbital eccentricity, I don't expect any time errors of more than 21 seconds throughout the Martian day.
More unpublished sols will soon be on this site.
